Q: Want a single space when you are writing?

Use “shift + enter” on your keyboard.

Q: When coping from a Word document paste it into the page using the “Paste as plain text” button on the editor.

A dialog box pops up with instructions which is use “ctrl+v” on your keyboard to insert it into the dialog box – then click insert.

If you do it this way it strips out the Word formatting that over rides the set CSS styles that come with the template.

Word formatting can drive you crazy when you are trying to get things to look right and unless you know some HTML…well trust me PASTE AS PLAIN TEXT!

Q: Edit Thumb feature is not showing in Manage Gallery

Get FireFox! The edit thumb feature doesn’t show in Internet Explorer (don’t know why…there’s no sun up in the sky, stormy weather)

Here’s the link to download the FireFox browser (it’s free) http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html
Better, faster, more secure and…what’s that, oh ya – CSS compliant!

Q: Using the “nextpage” tag

The next page tag can be used any number of times in a page or post, and each insert will “break” and paginate at the location inserted. Hyperlinks to the paginated sections of the post are then automatically generated.

f you have the extended editor there is a shortcut icon in the editor icons that you can just click and the page break is automatically inserted. Look for this:wp_page

1) Enter all your content in the text-editor.

2) Place your cursor where you want the page break and click the page break icon to insert.

3) Once you insert the tag once you can drag and drop it to another location and or copy and paste it to create another.

4) You can enter as many page breaks you want and once you save and publish the page will have Page navigation under the content that looks similar to this “Page 1 2 3″. This particularly useful if you have a long document or a story but don’t want your readers to scroll forever and you can edit the content all on one page inside the editor.

I have inserted a page break here – please proceed click on “2″ in the Pages listed below.
